Hello,

I Hope everyone is having a great spring! We finally have some nice weather so I hope you are all enjoying it!

GLK is ready for the great weather as we just got in our shipment of Kahuna sticks and boards for land paddling. Land paddling simulates Stand up Paddle Boarding. This is one of the best workouts you can get outdoors as it's a great upper body workout and even works out your legs too. The Kahuna Creation boards are some of the best longboards I have ridden. The artwork on these boards are traditional Hawaiian designs and look sick!! GLK is stocking the Bamboo Kahuna Stick and the new adjustable Kahuna stick. You can check them out on the GLK web store.

We are also stoked to be carrying the new SUP's from Slingshot. These boards are designed for flat water cruising and wave's. SUP's are a great compliment to Kiteboarding...instead of getting bummed while at your local kite spot when there is no wind you can head out on the water and cruise around while getting an incredible workout!

So we are going to open our GLK Tawas location Memorial Day weekend. We're still in the Brew Krew mall upstairs and the address is 211 Newman St. E. Tawas 48730. On Memorial Day weekend we will be demoing the latest 2011 kites and boards from Slingshot, Best, Wainman Hawaii and Jimmy Lewis....also the new Slingshot SUP and Kahuna sticks and boards. So come join us on the beach at the beautiful Tawas Point State Park and demo some of the hottest Kiteboarding products of 2011.

GLK is proud to be bringing on 4 new Kiteboarding instructors to handle the load this season. Along with head instructor Jontan Butcher and new last year Vlad Borza we will be adding Aaron Kahn from Toledo, Scott Mitchell from Alpena and Anthony Zarnick from Keego Harbor. These guys are incredible riders and some of the nicest guys you will meet on the beach. I am looking forward to working alongside these guys this year. For more info on the new Instructors / Team Riders check out their page.

We are starting our lessons and camps the first week of June so if you have been contemplating trying Kiteboarding this is the year!  The gear and equipment  have never been better to learn on and riding has never been easier!

I Hope you have a wonderful Spring and I look forward to seeing you all on the water.

Cheers,

Brian LeFeve
